Enable full immersion in human-machine interaction.

The challenge

A large share of the decisions we take as humans is taken intuitively. While you are reading this text, you are not thinking about reading. You are... just doing it. It is very natural to us. We think that human-machine interaction should be just as intuitive and natural. Iceskating becomes like walking once you master it. We want to enable everyone to experience that same degree of seamlessness with machine interfaces and without additional barriers such as invasive procedures. We envision making human-machine interaction just as natural as communicating with your own body.

The solution

We propose a system based on the combination of current neuro-imaging techniques using high-resolution sensors such as EEG or MEG, and a context-based machine learning model that is able to translate raw sensor data into actions for which it was trained. These actions can range from triggering certain events, such as "Call Mom!" all the way to performing tasks like controlling a drone remotely.
