Providing an insight into individual tree cutting for a municipality to check the compliance with the 'tree cutting law'.

The challenge

Currently, in the Netherlands, it is obligated to assess a cutting permit if you want to cut a tree in your garden. Unfortunately, compliance with this law cannot be monitored at the moment.

The solution

With the help of high resolution sattelite images, it is possible to spot the cutting of a tree. With the help of deeplearning software the spotting of cutted trees can be automated. This startup will make an application for municipalities so that they are able to monitor the cutted trees on their territory and thus check the compliance with the 'tree cutting law'.
