HartCare

Our mission is to cut down the time anyone spends in a doctor’s office during a lifetime by making patient self-monitoring fit seamlessly in people’s daily lives. Currently we focus on the most critical part of our body: the cardiovascular system.

The challenge

Heart diseases cause many quality life years lost for patients. This can be greatly reduced by diagnosing symptoms of heart disease early on. An earlier treatment generally means less quality years lost. However monitoring for these symptoms is lacking. The symptoms are infrequent and require expertise for diagnosis. We aim to make (potential) patients better at self-monitoring of their heart.

The solution

HartWear is a wearable ECG sensor which can be customised by means of 3D printing to improve adherence to self-monitoring. The data is send to an algorithm that diagnoses early symptoms of heart diseases in your heart rhythm, like atrial fibrillation.
